10: Magnet Sphere Tree

Posted on Sep 16, 2011 by in 1728

Lots of lateral liberty on the the Zen Magnet Challenge of September ’11: Make a tree.

A palm tree? A pine tree? Some abstract crazy tree that only you identify as a tree? Sure. Any sort of tree.

Use up to a total of 1728 magnet spheres, of any brand, to hand grow a sculpture of a tree. Use not your bright reflective flash, but instead the self-timer and a stand.

As usual, the judges will be your peers. First place gets two free zen sets, second place one free set. Another thing to remember is that this is a photography contest as much as a magneteering contest. Everything you submit goes to the public domain. Last but not least, we may ask for more pictures to confirm that no more than 1728 magnets were used. And having fun is the most important requirement. Deadline is the end of September, voting will last until Oct 10th.
